Dr.Dre real name : Andre Young

Dr.Dre real name : Andre Young
Born February 18, 1965 in Compton, Andrew Young grew up in the cities pavillonnaires of Compton, Los Angeles. Male sage of the family, his mother offered him for his 18 years kit DJ. A clicker that will have a huge impact on his life and especially for the Hip Hop in totality. For it is well behind its levers that for over 15 years that Dr Dre manages his career and that of many other artists and rap as a whole. The story of a living legend.

During the 80 years, Dré borrows nickname Doctor Dre as he is part of a group of South Central funk, World Klass Wreckin Crew. In 1986, he met Ice Cube and Eazy-E, the one who had just found his own label Ruthless Records history of criminal money, the trio formed outgoing 'NWA & The Posse'. The three people and MC Ren, DJ Yella and in 1988 formed the formation final Niggaz Wit Attitude and lâchèrent in the bins one of the first large disks of gangsta rap: 'Straight Outta Compton', where Dr Dre lies between production and rap. On funky moods, what bothers: gang violence, drugs, sluts. The senior trying to silence the group that generates a huge success and are talking about them anywhere in the world because of their flagship song "Fuck Tha Police". The following year, Dre was decided to produce a new value: The DOC, also sponsored by Ruthless Records.

A little young and naive despite their recognition, Ice Cube left the group in 1989, leaving the other NWA Record without him in 1990 the successor 'Efil4zaggin. Dr Dre continues its productions swollen funk California but also tried to leave the group, feeling the scam their manager Jerry Heller. He met in 1991 when Suge Knight, a member of the Bloods gang and ex-football player was converted into a Red Baron. Nobody knows where the money came from that has enabled the two protagonists to create the mythical label Death Row Records. Threatening, Suge would even deterred a manager for NWA Dr Dre to leave under threat of death.

Meanwhile, Dré meeting Snoop Doggy Dogg through his half-brother Warren G. He convinces rapper on their first duet "Deep Cover" still in 1991, before inviting him on his first solo album in 1992, the classic among classics' The Chronic '. Great album Westcoast, launching a new wave sound called G Funk, Dr Dre conquered the charts and the airwaves with "Let Me Ride", "Dre Day" on which he attacks Eazy-E and "Is not Nuttin But AG Thang. " Dr. pump in groups of funk on the west coast (Roger Troutman, George Clinton,...), which has enabled the Westcoast to have a sound own identity with the gangsta funk. Many artists still unknown at the time can be found on 'The Chronic': Dat Nigga Daz () 1993, he launched Snoop Doggy Dogg solo gavant fans G Funk and selling millions of 'DoggyStyle', enriching their label Death Row. Until 1994, he worked in the production of mythical soundtracks like 'Above The Rim' or better, 'Murder Was The Case' which is extracted "Natural Born Killaz" with Ice Cube. In 1995, Dr. Ice allowed a huge a publicity stunt for his film Friday, participating in the soundtrack to "Keep Their Head Ringin '.

Then 2Pac made its appearance in 1996 and Dr Dre felt the wind change to its disadvantage. Despite the success bequeathed by the Californian anthem "California Love," behind the scenes, and Pac Dré were not really friends because of a history of instrumental credited to his name (although this was that Daz Dillinger produced). Indeed, the Cali instrumental "Love" was to be used for 'The Chronic 2. Dre does over the direction of Death Row, led by Suge Knigh and more, his protégé Snoop Doggy Dogg reprimanded him not to participate in his trial. It was the drop of water that breaks the camel's back fit, and half of Death Row Records label with the left half of the gains, a few hundred million dollars. This money will be used to set up his own label with Interscope: Aftermath. A page in the history of Westcoast has been turned.

1996 and 1997, Dr Dre lives Production singular: Nas ( "Nas Is Coming"), Blackstreet ( "No Diggity"), Ras Kass ( "Ghetto Fabulous"),... without pocketing the jackpot. Besides Nas had the idea with the Trackmasters, and Foxy Brown, AZ and Nature, to produce the project by Dr. The Firm. Prime bide. The doctor instructed to produce a compilation comprising Mel Man, RC, King Tee, 'Dr Dre presents The Aftermath'. Like 'The Firm', the critics were wrong, and only the single "Been There Done That" out of the lot. 2nd bide and wholesale shift to empty. However, a good point was scored when Dr. fit peace with Snoop Dogg and he produced the hit "Bitch Please", in 1999.

Aftermath patauge again until Dr Dre discovered a cassette with a white-beaked on the cover by the name of Eminem. Captivated by the multiple talents of the MC, he signed in 1999 and live in the heat of the sort 'The Slim Shady LP' with the success that it did. Silver returning, Dr Dre began to work its true 2nd solo album, 'Chronic 2001', released in late 1999. Success comes to the doctor-producer through songs as catchy and memorable as those of 'Chronic' first name: "The Next Episode," "Still DRE," Forgot About Dre »,... Apart from Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Eminem, the guests are part of course, of the best hopes of Westcoast: Kurupt, Xzibit, Knoc Turnal, Kokane, Six-2,... Filed classic.

By featuring this extract is a legend on the East Coast, Rakim, his new signature. An album but was soon called 'Oh My God' would never be released, because of a perfectionist Dr Dre too. Also that year, he moves closer to a rapper who had already made a 'stage' in Aftermath: Eve. He again and he signs a tube, "Blow Ya Mind." Eminem becoming more autonomous, Dr Dre and took him in hand the burden to produce the hottest rapper in New York: 50 Cent. The connection Shady / Aftermath forms birth and the first album of Fifty: 'Get Rich Of Dye Tryin', which was a phenomenal success with the hit "In Da Club" produced by Dr Dre in person. With G Unit, which will provide the infernal triangle prevailing on the rap game with Def Jam. Always eager to find talent, signatures on its label Eve and Busta Rhymes (and the ouster of Rakim and Truth Hurts excluding Brooklyn and Joe Beast) does not suffice: Dr Dre would produce a rapper from the same district that Him: Compton. This has been done in late 2003, when he signed The Game, the former protégé of JT The Bigga Figga. In partnership with the G Unit for the marketing coup, it balance this young rapper at the top of the charts with tubes such as "Westside Story" and "How We Do". Apart from his new colt, Dr Dre also produces' Encore 'Eminem (released in late 2004), and' The Massacre 'by 50 Cent with two,' The Documentary 'Game in 2005.

In addition to all this, Dr Dre actually thought to engage only in the production of its artists, and in return leave the rap aside. But when he failed to be stab Vibe Awards in 2004, he changed his mind in order to give substance to 'Detox', the much anticipated 3rd album. Not too discs Busta and Eve, or better, which all fans dream: a disc for Ice Cube and an album / duet with Snoop Dogg.
